Villa Kitty Foundation receives cats and kittens suffering from abuse, abandonment and injury every single day, every single night. All too often the arrivals come in litters and sometimes, if we are lucky the mother is brought in too. Whether it’s a mother and kittens thrown out of an unsympathetic hotel, a tiny baby meowing piteously in a busy market or a cat that has been scalded or poisoned, Villa Kitty provides a place of sanctuary and healing.

In addition to the rescue, sterilisation, medical treatment and ultimately adoption of Bali’s cats and kittens, yes and dogs and puppies, Villa Kitty Foundation is also actively involved in educating the local community. We run workshops and classes for school children, routinely involve them in dog-walking schedules, recruit them as kitten cuddlers and support a program for children in the SOS Children’s Village with the care and socialisation of cats and kittens they have rescued.

All of this costs money. We employ fully trained vets and pride ourselves on our staff’s attention to essential hygiene and animal feeding practices. We buy the best food possible to sustain optimum health and when injury or illness is acute and requires more sophisticated knowledge, we turn to the best practice veterinary clinic in our region. Villa Kitty Foundation receives no government funding, nothing. Many of the animals are brought to us by locals, who lack the money to cover vet bills or shelter or care. We rely on you, people whose hearts are filled with love for those creatures who have no voice in this world. We at Villa Kitty Foundation do have a voice, and we ask you to please give so that others may live.
