2025 shook us to our core…

What a year 2025 has been! From the opening of our New Clinic & Operating Complex back in May 2025, to one of the worst panleukopenia outbreaks in our history and a brilliant fundraising event for our IDEXX blood analyser, your support has been instrumental throughout 2025.

It’s hard to summarise all that kind supporters like you have helped to achieve in the last 12 months alone. Countless lives have been saved and transformed, thousands were sterilised, vaccinated and adopted, and hundreds of school children educated on caring for the cats, and dogs, of Bali.

This year we have worked so hard vaccinating and sterilising cats, kittens, dogs and puppies. But we have a long way to go with the community to understand the crucial importance of vaccinations - along with sterilisation of course, but the two go hand in hand.

The feline panleukopenia virus takes a huge toll every year on the cats of Bali. And this is because of the lack of vaccinations. Villa Kitty offers free vaccinations to those who cannot afford to pay, and only ask a donation from others who bring their cats in.

This year we've received the highest number of cats and kittens in our history. Since the opening of our New Clinic & Operating Complex, we've been working hard to raise the funds to fully equip it, so that we can speed up diagnoses, save on external bills and save even more lives.

Thanks to our incredible supporters from across the globe and our fundraising event in December, we were able to raise the funds necessary to purchase the IDEXX blood analyser and it will arrive by the end of January!

Villa Kitty continues to make an impact not only to the lives of cats and kittens in Bali but also to Bali itself. With our PROJECT COMPOST CAT POO, which focuses on composting cat feces instead of using endless plastic bags and sending it off to a registered dump, we will be making compost for gardens. With our new biodegradable cat litter, we hope to make a lasting impact and to inspire others to do the same.
